Meet Kristie and Greg! They chose Windham Mountain as their location as Greg works on the mountain helping wounded warriors and the disabled learn to ski and snowboard. Let me just say that this was the absolute coldest shoot of my entire life. Now I knew it was going to be cold, but just not that cold. I remember when the mountain first came into view when I was driving and I saw that it was white. I said “okay… long pause… Hello snow” Now mind you, it was still 50 degrees at my house when I left that morning. When I arrived, the first thing I did was hit the ski shop for gloves and a hat (that will now stay in my trunk for future shoots). Now I was prepared in the sense that I did bring hand warmers, body warmers, and the warmest thermal wear that you can buy. I started shooting for a little while without the hand warmers or body warmers on and that didn’t last too long. I put one on my back, chest, both feet, and both hands. All I could think about when I put them on was that scene from Dumb and Dumber when they are on the mini bike headed into Aspen and he says “Just go man, just go”. Looking back over these photos I can only begin to tell you how brave Kristie was for wearing that Skirt for outfit #1.
Despite the cold, I had an amazing time with these two! Thanks for having me up and showing me around the Adaptive Sports Center. It was awesome! I can’t wait for your wedding in 2015!
Here’s a few of my favorites from the day.
